A friend of mine pointed out to me the other day that I am a "Music Quoter." This means that I use songs when I carry on an everyday conversation.
That got me to thinking...
I remember listening to music from the age of 8. Remember radio stations WAKY, and WLOU and WKLO...and later WLRS? If it weren't for my little AM/FM radio, classic music would all be a mystery to me.
I remember lying in bed listening to Tony Orlando and Dawn sing, "Knock Three Times" and "Candida"...Barry Manilow singing, ' I Can't Smile Without You", Elvis belting out "Burning Love" and "Moody Blue"...Earth Wind and Fire's "Serpentine Fire" and "Let's Groove Tonight"...
I quote songs to keep their memories alive, cause you have to admit that there is a song for every occasion, right?
