I finally decided to get a full college education at the tender age of 57.
Yeah, I AM a little nuts, but I had to prove to myself that I can still do it.
One thing I have discovered is that the reading part is hard. I have one good eye and there is a lot of reading in college, so I have to pace myself.
Another thing is my short term memory. I can remember things that happened in 1968, but I have to re-read stuff I read a half hour ago...
Folks, it isn't easy.
The things that pushing me is that I truly WANT this. I also want to be the first in my immediate family to complete a college education and first of all, I am doing this for Mama...She only lived to see the age of 33 and I know this will make her proud.
I just completed two summer classes, "World Religion Hinduism and Buddhism," and "Macroeconomics"...I haven't got the final grades yet, but I think I did OK (smile)
So...Go Spalding U.! and you are never too old to learn....I am a witness.
