Well folks, it is Derby Day in Louisville, KY.
Forget all the other stuff you may have heard about our fair state and city...forget the murders, and Matt Bevin (please!), and forget about all the rain...
You guys who do not live in our great city would not believe all the hoopla we do for a race that lasts roughly two minutes. We have a boat race, a parade, a marathon, even a rat race...we actually...race...rats...
As I try to chose my Derby horse, I am fascinated by all the possibilities...there is "Patch" who, like me , only has one functional eye...
There's "Irish War cry" who sports the same name as my high school newspaper, "The War Cry"...
There's "Practical Joke"...(need I explain?...)
There's "Looking At Lee" that has my middle name "Lee" in it's name.
When it's all said and done, though, I think I am gonna key on "Gormley" Why? you may ask?
His name starts with "G"...
