Since Daddy passed in 1992, my brothers and I have always taken a wreath to lie on his grave on Memorial Day.
It's an act of reflection, affection and brotherly love.
I always takes pictures and send copies to my sister in Glasgow, KY so she can take part in this as well.
I had more thoughts about Daddy lately and how I have picked up some of his traits. I told you guys about some of them on his birthday (May 3), but I forgot to tell you that I also use the same pipe tobacco that he used ("Cherry Blend")...
I miss listening to him play Fats Domino records and him saying , "Whoop it, whoop it!" as Fats jammed on the keyboards...
Memories stay with you forever, isn't that wonderful?
