As you guys know, I am a fan of the Food Network.
I like to de-stress watching shows like "Cutthroat Kitchen", "Guy's Grocery Games", "The Next Food Network Star" and my favorite, "Southern at Heart" with Louisville's own, Damaris Phillips.
I have noticed that many of the shows lately have featured eggplants and Portobello mushrooms. So...since I had never tried either of them and since I don't want to be like my brother Wayne, who says stuff like "I hate Chinese food!, that stuff will kill you!", though he has never tasted it (ahem), I bought a couple of each during my last grocery trip.
Since I didn't have a clue how to cook either one, I went to the trusty "Food Network" site to obtain recipes and I cooked them up...eager to entertain my palate with what looked so scrumptious on TV...
... Now, I can honestly say I don't like mushrooms and eggplant.
