Daddy used to sing songs to us as kids.
Not "Rock a Bye Baby"...songs like "Nadine" by Chuck Berry and "Lucille" by Little Richard.
Another song he used to sing time after time was Fats Domino's, "Blueberry Hill."
Daddy died in 1992, and every time I hear the song...especially the part that goes,"Though we're apart, you're part of me still...", I always shed a tear.
Daddy wasn't perfect, but he was a helluva guy...
