It is no surprise that I am a huge fan of music.
Years ago, I heard the Patti Page version of "Tennessee Waltz" and I was captured by the innocence and structure of it all. It was sang like a waltz in 3/4 quarters time and it was (and still is) beautiful...
The I heard the Sam Cooke version.
Now...let me just say that Sam warned us that "Patti wouldn't recognize the song after he did it", it was sang in 4/4 time and the lyric "little darlin" was changed to "my baby", and let me just say that
his version was so soulful and packed an even bigger punch than Patti's.
This is another reason I am such a big fan of music...
it can really and truly make a rainy day burst into sunshine.
