I was watching an episode of "Unsung" on TV One the other night. It was about the band Chic and one of it's co-founders, Nile Rogers.
Riveting...riveting...
Chic had some of the most innovative cuts back in the late 70s and early 80s. Remember "Le Freak", "Good Times", "Everybody Dance" and "Soup For One.?"
What you may not remember is that Nile has an album called "Adventures In The Land Of The Good Groove" which had it's share of hits.
Songs like the title cut. and "Beet", and "My Love Song For You", and "Yum Yum"...
Classics.
You can still find the album on Amazon.com or eBay, but it will probably cost you an arm and a leg.
...but if you like great music, it's worth it.
Now Niles is jamming with Daft Punk and the music sounds eerily like that old disco stuff...
History reapeating itself yet again.
