A few years ago, I donated 5.00 to the DAV and since then, my life has not been the same.
As of Tuesday, I have received over 38 offers for donations from various "good will organizations."
I am not kidding. Everyone from "The Mayo Clinic", to "Easter Seals".
From "Wounded Warriors" to "Cystic Fibrosis." They asked for as little as 5.00 to as much as 75.00.
They entice you with calenders, and pens,and note pads, and the ever popular address labels.
I have received labels with cats, and dogs, and landscapes and cars and "Betty Boop" (I kept those...ahem) and birds of all types ...
Here is what I did.
I have chosen 3 charities I will make one donation per year. I keep the notepads and calenders and address labels I prefer and throw the rest away.
Case closed.
