There is something about a rainy Monday that makes me sad...
So I watch an old movie or listen to some good music and Voila!...
I feel much better.
Maybe it will be sunny tomorrow...

A Circle...

The late great Prince had a song which is one of my favorites called "Resolution". It is about how some things just never change and when they do, it's always a rehash of something that happened before. Hmmm... One of the lines in the song is "Love is like a circle...no beginning and no end..." The world IS like a circle, right? Bell bottom pants have been in style...out of style ...and back in style over and over again. The Democrats are in charge...no wait, the Republicans are, hold up...now it's the Democrats again. A circle... No beginning and no end... We just have to keep a positive attitude, smile and enjoy the ride.

RFD TV...

If you are a fan of country music and polkas(!) and such have I found a new TV channel for you. It is called "RFD TV" and it is channel 149 on Time Warner Cable. It is one of the most interesting channels I have ever came across. It shows classic programs like "The Porter Waggoner Show" and " Hee Haw." It also has a show called "Molly B's Polka Party" which is like an "American Bandstand-Polka Style." The channel also broadcasts farm reports, rodeos, and auto races. You will never know what you will find when you channel surf, will you?

Where Are You, Sammy Lewis?...

When I was a student a Russell Jr. High School, I was as "popular" as I am now (Ahem)… I was what is now considered a nerd. This was before being nerdish was so popular...before the movies came out... Anyways...I had a equally nerdish friend named Sammy...Sammy Lewis. If I was a nerd, Sammy should've been considered the "King of the Nerds." The other students would trip him in the hallways...knock his considerable large amount of books from his arms...stick his head in the toilet and flush it (I know, right?). I sometimes wonder how Sammy made it throughout his adult life...he is probably a doctor or Senator somewhere... If anyone knows Sammy, have him contact me.
